A: At this time, we only accept MacBooks. However, we plan to expand our program to include tablets and phones in the near future.
How to Donate
Q: How do I donate my laptop?
A: Click [this link] to begin the donation process. Follow the instructions to select your device and submit your donation. You will receive a prepaid shipping label along with detailed shipping instructions.
Q: Do I need to erase my data before donating?
A: Yes, we encourage donors to remove all personal data before donating. However, we also perform a secure data wipe on all received devices. Detailed instructions will be provided along with your shipping label.
Data Security & Privacy
Q: How do you ensure my data is securely erased?
A: We use industry-standard data-wiping software to permanently erase all information before refurbishing the laptop.
Q: Can I receive a certificate of data destruction?
A: Yes. Once your device has been received and processed, we will provide you with a certificate confirming the secure erasure of your data if possible.
Tax Deductibility & Receipts
Q: Is my laptop donation tax-deductible?
A: Yes! As a registered nonprofit organization, your donation is tax-deductible.
Q: How do I obtain a donation receipt?
A: Once your laptop has been received and processed, we will email you a receipt for tax purposes.
